Children are born learning. What they learn depends on the experience they have. Born Learning Trails are research-based outdoor activity paths for parents and caregivers to walk through with their young children to encourage them to talk, listen, read, think, imagine and create. These multi-station, family-learning courses connect learning in the classroom to real-world activities around the community and out in nature. The 12 trails in Chippewa County and Eau Claire counties support United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley’s Education Initiative, which brings programs and resources together to ensure all children enter school ready to succeed.
