Join us in the Chippewa Valley Digital Inclusion Partnership to work together with like-minded community members to bridge the digital divide in the Chippewa Valley. This partnership strives to create a space for friendly conversations about technology resources and support that we would like to see in the Chippewa Valley. This meeting series will work to identify the top internet, computer and technology issues in the Chippewa Valley. We will also create action groups to work towards sustainable solutions for top issues.
Digital Inclusion is defined by National Digital Inclusion Alliance (NDIA) as “the activities necessary to ensure that all individuals and communities, including the most disadvantaged, have access to and use of information and communication technologies. This includes five elements:
• Affordable, robust broadband internet service
• Internet-enabled devices that meet the needs of the user
• Access to digital literacy training
• Quality technical support
• Applications (apps) and online content designed to enable and encourage self-sufficiency, participation and collaboration.”
The Chippewa Valley Digital Inclusion Partnership is hosted by Clear Vision Eau Claire and United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley with additional support from Chippewa Valley Technical College.
We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully. To request an accommodation or for inquiries about accessibility, please contact Amber Scharenbroch, ascharenbroch@uwgcv.org, 715-834-5043.
